Full Body Equine Massage Session
$70 per massage, $65 Barn Discounts of 3 horses or more. $15-$45 trip fee may apply depending on location
A full body equine massage consists of manually massaging each muscle group using a gradual increase of light, medium and heavy pressure on the muscles. Several strokes are involved to stimulate the muscle tissues, and the techniques and pressures will be adjusted to the comfort level of each horse. Manual massage allows each horse to have custom treatments to meet their individual needs. Some massages may take up to an hour and a half, others may last 45 minutes, depending on the level of soreness and behavioral reactions of the horse. If the horse is cooperative, the session may include stretching exercises targeting certain areas of the body where the horse needs improvement or rehabilitation.
Full Body Canine Massage Sessions
$35 small dog (<25 lbs), $45 Medium dogs (26-59 lbs), $55 Large dogs (>60 lbs). $15-$30 trip fee may apply depending on location
A full body canine massage session works through the main muscle groups throughout the body to improve the health and wellbeing of the dog. Each massage session is tailored to your dogs’ specific needs, whether that be anxiety relief, arthritis relief, or recovery and rehabilitation. The massages will also vary to match each dog’s comfort level and areas of muscle tension to ensure it is a beneficial experience for the canine mentally, emotionally, and physically.Canine massages help relieve pain, break up adhesions, increase blood flow to deliver oxygen and nutrients throughout the body, and promote relaxation to foster a healthy relationship with humans.
Equine Raindrop Therapy
$100 per session. $15-$30 trip fee may apply depending on location.
Raindrop therapy is a massage technique that uses medicinal grade essential oils to the legs, back and spine. The 9 essential oils included in raindrop therapy have been used for naturally reducing pain and inflammation, and increasing blood circulation and antimicrobial properties. Practicing raindrop therapy stimulates healing by killing bacteria and viruses hibernating along the spine, soothing the nervous system, unwinding tight and sore muscles, tendons, and ligaments, and enhancing immunity by cleansing the body of toxins. The oils involved are V-6 Vegetable Oil blend, Valor, Thyme, Oregano, Basil, Cypress, Peppermint, Wintergreen, Aroma Seize, and Orthoease. A damp, hot towel is applied to the back to end the raindrop session, allowing the oils to absorb into the body. This detoxifying process can cause sensitivity to the sunlight. Because of this, keep your horse stalled or out of direct sunlight for 12 hours after treatment with plenty of water and clean shavings. The treatment will dehydrate the body of foreign substances up to a few days after the therapy, so your horse will likely drink more water and urinate/defecate more frequently. Pregnant mares should not have raindrop therapy performed, instead manual massages are recommended for broodmares. Please have your horse clean of any excess dirt around the hips, back, and legs. It is best to let your horse “marinate” in the oils and wait until the next day to ride.
PEMF Therapy through BEMER Blanket & Full Body Massage
$100 per session. $15-$30 trip fee may apply depending on location.
In this session, the BEMER blanket is used to provide Pulse Electro-Magnetic Field Therapy. The blanket and boots send low intensity wavelengths throughout the body to stimulate cell metabolism and increase blood oxygenation and microcirculation. The low spectrum electromagnetic pulses help induce the parasympathetic system in your horse, or “rest and digest” period. Along with a session of the BEMER blanket, the session includes a manual massage, totaling the session to about an hour. Using the BEMER blanket prepares the musculoskeletal system to be worked manually by promoting relaxation, increasing blood oxygenation and stimulating microcirculation. PEMF therapy allows the horses to release more tension under the manual strokes and pressure during their session. Depending on each horse’s situation and behavior, the BEMER will be applied in 5-, 10- or 15-minute increments which have varying programmed intensities. The BEMER application will not exceed 30 minutes.
